Here at The Motley Fool, we stand behind a long-term buy-and-hold investing strategy for any recommended stock. When we recommend a stock in a majority of our premium services, we are doing so with the intention of holding that stock for 3-5 years minimum.
For our premium services such as Stock Advisor and Rule Breakers, our buy recommendations include a section titled, “Risks and When We’d Sell.” As a general rule, our premium services will include a buy-and-hold timeline (or reasons why a buy would become a sell) in the ‘About’ or ‘Guidebook’ section of the service.
With that being said, you are in charge of your own portfolio’s holdings and the decision to sell is completely up to you.
The ‘Community’ section of our premium services offers members the ability to voice their opinions/questions on the individual companies we have recommended. Such questions would be addressed by the analyst and/or other members that have opinions or insight into the company in question.
